Not sure what is up with this Dioon seedling, any ideas ❓

Seems healthy, just fronds popping out everywhere.

It just might be! The caudex seems healthy, no rot or bad areas.
This has also lifted itself up about 1" so far, ( kept re-potting it back down at first, decided to let it go and see what happens 😀

Steve,
that is stunningly beautiful. Is it pups?

It'll be cool to see this develop, please take regular pics.

How old is this Dioon?

Thanks Barb,

Think this one is about a year, or maybe 1 1/2 year from seed.
( I am trying to label things better now 😀

It appears to be pups, will be interesting to see how this one develops.

Suckering early is not all that uncommon, particularly in some of the dioons. I had a D. angustifolium seedling that began suckering when the caudex was less than 1/2" in diameter. I'll try to find the photo.

You are going to have quite an interesting (and full!) plant as it matures.

A fat albert dioon...cool.

People will be asking you for clones/cuttings of that one. 😀

...the only thing good about storms is the new containers that arrive from down the road 😀

I don't have a fat albert, but this Dioon edule is showing some movement.
Wish it had the clumping gene.
