Man oh man, this took a long time this summer, probably from our cold spring.

This one's finally doing more:

Seems to have slowed down in our recent heatwave.

Look at nature's artwork on the unfurling leaves...I'm always awed by this:

Nice shots, Barb. It is always quite a process to see a cycad's soft flushes turn into spiky fronds 😆

The nice thing about C.debaoensis is that it NEVER becomes spiky, remaining soft and pliable.

that's a beauty Barb! If I lived in a zone 8/9 location I would be growing cycads all over the place!
