Hey Everyone,
It's been a long time is I've posted pictures so hopefully I don't overload anyone. Lots have things have changed here since my last post, lots of new palms and plants have mysteriously found there way into my garden. LOL! Enjoy.
Here's a picture from the front of my house before the plants found there way into the planting beds. This was a week or so back.
And here it is now. Check out the overwinter sago's starting to flush that stayed in the ground last winter. It's already so much bigger since yesterday.
S. Mag lil gem getting ready to bust open a ton of flowers after taking a beating this year. The one in the back is much father behind.
Two out of three of my old trachies bloomed one is male as I already know for years now but the other one turned out to be female this year. The seeds are starting to grow now, sorry not the best picture. Look closely at the male flowers and you'll see a bird nest that's been there for a couple of months now.
Now heading around the corner of my house to the left is (west side) the totally unprotected minor starting to come back finally not bad after -7.5f it was buried under snow thankfully. Next to that is a banana clump ice cream and two zebrinas with hilo beauty ee in from, you can see indian hawthorn next to them flowering that also saw no protection.
And a little farther down there's my overwintered butia (which came out better then any other palms in my yard) followed by two velutinas that are already flowering and two monster thai blacks. That area needs a little more work.
Down a little more looking into the back yard is the two newly planted waggies male and female and a monster needle. Check out the seeds on the waggy, I didn't think there was that many at first. Waggies are 8 feet for scale, with 5 foot of CT. Thanks for your help Brett with those waggies!!!
Heading into the backyard is my little R&R area that hopefully I'll get to use on of these days, 10 mins. altogether this year. That's about to change!!!
B&B's starting at 375$
Musa AE AE planted from a 7 gal. into a 20 gal squat has just erupted, it's definitely one of the coolest bananas I've ever seen!!! Check out the stripes on this guy. Right now it's putting out a new leaf every 4-5 days in the opening of the greenhouse. An instant favorite!!! The smaller one seems to have more white in it, I think they change some as they get older.
Here's a couple shots from inside the greenhouse. My favorite little princeps in the second one.
Last but not least my poor ensete that was left in the basement for to long with a giant dioon edule behind it with some angel trumpets to the left. Plus some 15 gal. waggies that are for sale for 225$ and up. LOL!!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. There's many more but I overloaded the board enough for now.
Thanks for looking,
Bill

Oh, man, Bill, talk about eye candy!
As the Brits say, "I'm gob-smacked".
Unbelievably beautiful stuff, good prices too for superb specimens.
Thanks for the close-ups especially of the male and female trachy inflorescences.
Ah...can almost feel the warmth in the GH.
Wow! Double wow.
Thanks for remembering we like pics.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Don't know where to begin,really 😆
The Siam ruby are going to be impressive,it's great they have
so much size to start with and a whole summer ahead of them.
I like the Banana planting with the EE's in front, that'll be another good one
in a few more months.
Are the Trachys next to the fence "permanent" I noticed they are
kinda up on berms.
The Thai giant and Thai blacks are poised for success for sure-
should be really fun to revisit in a few more months when everything rockets!
NICE!

Great shots as usual, Bill! The unprotected sabal looks pretty good considering the low it went through!

Ditto to everything above. Just amazing.
That Butia sure came through winter well. Remind us all next Fall how you did it.

Amazing pics Bill. I can imagine the great comments you get from people going by your property! How are things selling so far this spring?

Yeah Jesse,
I've been pretty busy here. The first plants only went in the ground are the first of June, such a crapped out spring here but not as bad as others so I'll bite my tongue. I need to look back on posts to see how things are doing for you.
Thanks for your comments!
Bill
Hey Barb,
Yeah, I know everyone likes pictures. LOL
Sorry for taking so long with them, I do have a ton more of other crazy plants here but like I said I don't want to overwhelm you all with pictures 😉
If you want more I have more, and more, and more than I can photo 🙄 More like post, I'll say it for you Barb HA HA!
By the way you need a greenhouse Barb. Your plant life (your life) quality will improve dramatically. Make one 20 wide X 100 and hook it up to the turbine for heat, isn't it windy there in the winter?
Bill
I told you I've been busy Jim!!!
Your phone might need a magnifying glass feature. LOL
Yeah I'm not sure of the siam ruby, I think it's getting pulled back to the GH, it already got destroyed. It was SO nice before it needs to go back to the tropics. It's replacements on deck eager.
The thai's are staying though and getting nana fuel tomorrow to enjoy the 95f temp, Yikes!! 98 Thursday. WEEEEEEEEEE
Trachies are burmed for my enjoyment before there sold. Nice Eye!
Thank Buddy!
Bill
Thanks Cameron and Erik,
The sabal is coming back so fast, what a monster!!! It was a 65 gal though 😯 Like I said before this year it gets a house, unheated though.
No worries Erik, all it had was a box with c7 lights and a thermo cube. No insulation just poly plastic. What a awesome palm!!! My favorite other than princeps, what a beauty they can be. If I had room in my trailer I had a 4 ft CT picked out. :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:
Thanks Guys,
Bill
Thank you John!
Most people love it but there's a few bad apples out there that need plucking as I'm sure you know. Business is ok but I have a hearing on Thursday since some dink complained. I've been trying to stay under the radar. hopefully I can pursue my dream like Johnny Appleseed and bring palms to the NE.
Hope all is well for you John.
Thanks
Bill
Overwhelm away, Bill, with more pics.
I'm too old to start another project like a GH, let alone heating it with the turbine production.
The bugger's been "down" (broken) for 4 months.
H said to hang a flag from it. 😆 😆
The only time it isn't windy here is when the bugger is working fine... 😐
Yup, more pics please.

Bill,
I've also had legal issues resulting from folks who don't appreciate my tropical gardens so I appreciate that sometimes more money goes to the lawyer than the nurseryman.
If you ever want to talk by phone to a sympathetic ear, me know --Erik
I have a hearing on Thursday since some dink complained.
There's one in every county.
It's just jealousy...'coz the idiot didn't think of the idea first.
Keep your chin up and your nose clean, and you'll be fine.
Take it from the pro...bin der, dun dat.
Although your hair goes white really quickly afterwards. 👿
