My Trachy has been recently transplanted and appears "bent" at the top. Anyone knw why? Is this fatal?

Since when has it been bent over?
Didn't you just buy it?

Or was it in the ground over winter? If so, the protection at the top could've been too heavy and pulled it off to one side.
Maybe vandalism since it's close to the sidewalk?

If the top is loose and flopping around, that's not good.

Maybe phone the nursery and ask them what could've caused it?
They saw your hauling method and that you had it on a trailer.
Could one of the straps have been too tight?

Try some fungicide.

Agreed.

Strange that watering in the spear would cause that, despite your temps not being near freezing.

whoa weird!!! I'm curious to see what it is. Does it seem weak, soft or unstable around the angle where it bends to the right?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

This is what the tree looked like when i bought it. Its been dipping into the mid to low 30s at night and we had a windstorm a few days ago with 70mph to 100mph gusts. Would Hydrogen Peroxide Work?

Peroxide would help if you have bud rot. That looks like there is some tissue damage. Not sure if it will grow out, but I doubt it will ever straighten. Once again is the tissue in the bend soft. If so its probably rot. If not then I would look inside for any infestation.

Check it with both hands and see if it moves and/or is mushy...if it is,it probably got bruised
while it was being moved,as long as the leaves are still coming out and it is growing
it may be able to move past it,you could also try bracing it to straiten it out......however,
there is still the possibility that it may rot around that area and be weak there/or at the
worst, rot out and not allow the bud/spear to play through....keep an eye on it very closely.
You may end up having to cut the top back(amputate) if it can't recover/rot progresses.

Ok so just cut the top off with a chainsaw and it should be okay?

😯

Only if it is not growing with a healthy spear 😯

BTW

I don't think a chainsaw works well with Trachy fibers,a saw would be better.....
but by all means poke around in that crown first and see whats going on...
