Nucci welcome to the forum. I use "Superthrive" for the roots also I use "B1 Thrive alive" for helping the palms uptake of nutrients and then just a quality 20/20/20 with micronutrients plant food once a month depending on the species. Hope this helps.

I'm trying to get my T. Fortunei as big as possible so I'm using 30-10-10 and I know, I know it is high in hot counts, but seems to be working. New fronds are coming up at rate of about 1/2" per day. I'm using it once per month and I will stop at the end of july so the new growth will have a chance to harden off. I water it about every 4 days or so if it hasn't rained. Do you think that is enough water for T. fortunei? The plant has a foot of trunk.

Yes it is in the ground, I planted the trachy late April. I think I did a good job transplanting it because there was no trauma to the plant whatsoever. I do not think that TF is very root sensitive, as long as the right soil conditions are met it does fine?

Fortunei are very easy to transplant. Ryan you are right they are not very root sensitive, not like brahea armata.
I just use miracid 30-15-15 twice a year, once in March and another in early August and one shot of epsom salts in early spring.
Works for me.
