I removed the Washingtonia filifera protection and saw some green..........very cool since I lost power for 35 hours during a snow storm and the temperature dropped to -2.9F (-19.3C).

Looking good!

I like to remove all the ground clutter/mulch and let the sun warm up/dry up the soil.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

the Washy was buried in leaves too...........I'm sure that helped during the power outage.

Here's the Washy during the snow storm which we lost power for 35 hours.....I guess all the snow helped too. 😀

For sure the snow helped...I have noticed that with a good pasting
of heavy snow around the enclosures that the temps stay closer to 32F.
