I love watching this thing grow and unlike my Abyssinian
I can see all of this plant because it stays close to the ground.....

So far 😈

Heat wave building into the area for at least the next week-
can't wait to see some of the growth on this thing with
nighttime temps hovering around 80f the whole time.

Pretty cool event-the giant is growing new feet...
it grew out of a Nerf football sized bulb it produce last
year and now is growing some roots over the top of it!
Check it-

And...she's a Mama!

Chip off the old block

Newest leaf has opened up since this pic-I will get a new one.

My cell phone on the leaf for reference

Looking great Jim. I really have to try a couple of Thai giants next year. I`ll have to start the seeds in Dec. to have them ready for planting April. Thanks for pics.

IT must love the heat eh? Im assuming youve been as warm or warmer then me 😈

Both my Colocasia decided to pup ( Esculenta ), Ive never had to divide anything like them, do you just pop off the pups?

The corm looks like its doubled in size already... and the heats only been here for a few weeks...

Post some updates in a few days when the heat really turns on, cant wait to see how big that new leaf is gonna be

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I know how he feels...everyday I have to hold myself back from chopping it to pieces! :withstupid:

Thanks for posting that!

Maybe in a few more years-just imagine the Thai giant and Abyssinian in a few more seasons!

Heres another one-it's shinier and a little bigger(-;

And the Abyssinian-7/16/11
