Wow, that is in mint condition, Tim.

Just think of what your mild winter would mean...if it was every winter 😀
The stuff we could grow with no--or minimal--protection.

But then we'd be trying Cocos outdoors 🙄

Great work, Tim! I recently saw some great shots of T. "nainital" in Nainital, India. The poster made a point that many of the Trachycarpus in Nainital were regular T. fortunei that were introduced when the area was a British outpost.

Yes, these nanitals don't look all that different from a 'regular' fortunei to me......the only difference I noticed is that all the seedlings had a 'lean' when growing......this 'lean' is gone now.

The most plausible explanation is that the Fortunei hybirdized with Takil.

Hey Tim -That palm looks really good. I have 2 little guys also in my garden and i just put a rose cone over them and they seem to be the hardiest palm in the garden-tougher than t. fortunei and t. wagnerianus
great pics

Yup, with no trunk lean/creeping trunk, it's gotta have hybridized.
What a beauty Tim.
