I bought a Takil from "Plants Delight" and when I got it, it had all the dirt fall out in shipment. I quickly repotted in a pot that had nothing in it for 6 months and also washed it. I repotted it in "Scott's Potting Soil w/ Osmocote".
I also put "super Thrive in it.
It now has (3 weeks later) 2 little tiny green things growing in the soil. Is this some weeds growing from the original nursery soil? Because I don't want to pull them if they are in fact baby takils. But I didn't think Takil "ran" like that.
Do you have any pics? I would guess that they are weeds? Even the best potting soil sometimes has weed seeds in it.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Takils do not sucker. It is probably a weed but if it starts to look like a wide piece of grass then it could be a seedling from a seed that fell into the pot. You will have to remove it regardless but wait until it is 2 to 3" in hieght if like I said it starts to look like a wide piece of grass.
