I have several mature Trachys growing in my neighborhood. I have noticed some with flowers. It doesn't appear that the seeds are located within these flowers. Are the seeds found within these flowering stems or do they emerge separately? Pictures would be great if anyone has some. 😕

T. Fortunei are either male or female. If there are no seeds being produced you have either all males, or all females with no male nearby to pollinate the females.

Are the seeds on a Trachy located within this flowering stem or do they produce fruit like a Butia?

They should be on the flowering stem after the flowers are all gone. It could be that the stems are cut out before the can produce seeds? The seeds will be dark and round and easy to see if mature.

I have seen seeds on many palms but never a trachy, but should be about the same. 😉

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Thank you. I will check them later in the season. Can't beat free seeds.
