We are not have much of a spring no rain and NW cold winds are making 5C feeling like -2C. As you see toronto is always the coldest of all citys on there. But there is a warm up temps are going to reach 24C summer like weather 😀
Yuccaman,
Our time will come, we have to be patient even though it's driving me crazy :banghead: . Hopefully, this spring will be like last winter where it was cold at the beginning but very plesant for most of January and February. This translated into a Zone 7a winter and Zone 7b on the island that's perfect cold hardy palm temps! :toothy7:
I think your right. In january a palm would survive no problem. I have seen much warmer winters than this. in the 1980s We had snow and it would melt and snows again it would melt. just 5 cm fell only that winter. And temps were zone 8b with 15C in january. In spring 2002 or 2003 We had march temps 28C.Robins are out bugs are flight like ladybugs and others like flys and other insects. Tulips are getting big. Flowers are already in bloom (some are) Lots of birds singing hens and chicks are getting bigger. And Rhododendrons are starting to bloom. Rhododendrons were green all winter, no deaths recorded. Yuccas are recovering. Ground is still frozen like steel. We cant plant flowers until May long weekend. But in april yuccas agaves and evergreens and normal trees and hardy cactus.
