It's about time, though we've had a very mild winter here in St. Louis - A zone 7b to be exact which is very unusual for us. I know we have the ability for more extreme lows than the PNW, I find it is MUCH warmer here for 75% of the year, perfect for growing Native Southeast US palms. How did everyone else fare this winter. Everything pulled through fine for me here, my greatest success story being the Agave that came through this winter unscathed. Also i have a question for you seed growers out there. My needle palm seeds still haven't sprung yet though i planted them in October last year. They have no mold on them as i have been keeping them a bit on the dry side, but i was wondering what temperature range would give me the greatest success as i'm tired of waiting for these to pop and i've been planting things outside for a week now and i would like to get these in my garden ASAP.

I had a simi mild winter here but have lost a few plants. 😕

Here in Toronto we had a very nice winter. The airport located in the northwest of the city was rated as a 7a while the Island recorded a 7b winter. All in all an exceptional winter. In the next few weeks I will know how my Musa basjoos fared hopefully I was able to save some of the stalks.
