I got 6" of snow and a low of 8 deg. f. today. Did someone say something about spring 😀 Hope it gets here fast 🙄

The funny thing is...I have so much to do before it gets here and I won't get it done in time.....happens every winter 😆

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

We hit a high of 10.1 C. here with a low of 3.8 C. It was a nice sunny day. WE honestly have not seen Winter here on SSI. Cheers, Joe

but I am ready for it to be warm! I used to love winter, but maybe that was when we actually used to get snow on occasion here, and maybe before I visited CA two years ago and fell in love with palm trees...

Luckily this winter here has not been too cold, except for the first two weeks of Dec. That was our winter for the year (at least so far, I have seen it cold this late as well); it did not reach above freezing those two weeks and lows got as cold as 7 F (-14 C) a couple of nights. Since then, though, it has been one of the warmest and wettest winters I ever remember. Most days since then have been above 40 F, many above 50 F. The Boise area has also received, since October, almost 10" of rain (including over 4" in December). Average rainfall here is about 12 or 13" per year, and rainy season usually lasts until May here. Surprisingly, though, when it gets and/or stays warm like this, I get ready for spring more quickly. It has cooled off this week; after reaching 53 F (12 C) last Friday, highs have been back into the low to mid 40s so far this week, with plenty of welcome (yet deceptive) sunshine.

I have some bad news though. Some of the smaller palms on that car lot in Nampa finally succumbed to the damage from that cold spell. The larger ones seem to be pulling out of it fine and should be back to good health by mid-summer. I will add some pics to the "Nampa, ID palms!" thread when I head back over there.

Who wouldn't want free pie and chips?
