Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Nice pics, love those stressed out cacti. The colors are awesome, reminds me of aloes in spring. That agave v-r is huge, the one in bloom at PDN is only about 18" wide. But with the lack of precip and nutrients will allow them to grow forever there.

Thank you guys for the nice comments. I have fun looking for the unusual plants in areas. I try not to post too many pics of palms in Yuma AZ or other almost frost-free areas. I love the areas where temps can and do get down in the teens or colder in the winter. I'm sorry I did not have a chance to take more pics in the Sierra Vista area. I was amazed how wonderful the palms looked there and also the varieties, considering all the big palms survived 5-2 deg F. 😀

It will interesting to see the "stressed out cactus" again. I almost think it is a variegation after seeing it up close, but another pic in a year or two will tell us for sure. 😀

John

I would like to find me a property down there with a few large W. filifera on it and room for others. I'm more interested in existing palms than a existing house (wife does not agree), just because a large filifera take so many years to get big.
