Getting some snow finally. Lets see how cold hardy everything is. Here is a couple photos of our sacrificial mule palms for the winter. 1 6ft with no protection and a seedling with no protection.

Anyone else have some snow pictures?

This was my Windmill Palm in November. It has winter protection built around it now.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Very pretty Trachy!

How long time did you grow it?
And what minimal temperatures has it ever had?

Merry Christmas!

Anttisepp, good to hear from you!how are the palms doing? (especially your Mazari?)mine is a little discolored but doing great and solidly rooted.
SNOW,we had 3 1/2" a few days ago on top of the inch we already had and almost an inch of sleet and ice last night,it is so thick it almost doesn't break when you step on it!

Hi Jim,
my palms and other exots are OK, while we had very small frosts; last days fell very much snow and then by forcast will come some days under -5-10 C. All the "palm-bed" is covered by styrofoam shields and temerature within is about +2-5 C. The only problem is mice but I ordered good repeller from EBay that works fine. Marry Cristmas and Happy New Year! Hyvรครค Joulua! God Jul! Antti

Outdoors temps -20C, under the cover +2.2C. Very good protected place... ๐Ÿ˜‰
