Great garden! T.takil is good looking one. Did you buy seeds from James Verhaegen 'Europalms'? I have two T.takil from that source but they not perform very well in ground for me.

IDK if I would try it in your zone Jim but Thai black is proving hardy here in zone 6B with about 8 inchs of mulch. heard good reports from the UK on its cold tolerance as well.I got a T. Takil from Steve and planted it out this season I hope it does me proud and makes it through its first winter.

A Black Thai in the ground over winter....they seem to take longer than other
banana plants to get going here,not sure I would want to risk it-but thanks for the info Mike.
