OK, Erik, will do!
Instead of showing my old one all the time, here are some new pics:
One from John last year, could never keep it moist, so it's been in the fish pond for a month.

A gorgeous 15 gal Trachy also from John, can't find a spot to plant it...

Yet another nice Trachy from John...this one's throwing a greener frond now that it received some epsom salts.
<a href=" http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/6044255298/" title="DSC04876 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src=" " width="375" height="500" alt="DSC04876"></a>
And the little T. princeps seedlings:
<a href=" http://www.flickr.com/photos/southslope/6044255244/" title="DSC04870 by edible_plum, on Flickr"><img src=" " width="500" height="375" alt="DSC04870"></a>

Let's see other people's Trachies! 😀

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
I just love these palms!
They were the first palms I ever saw, having Ben born in Oregon where they do great.
Never thought of a hydrophytic windmil 😆
I'll try to get photos up in a day or two.
I'm keeping an eye on the one in the water...the first signs of distress from waterlogging and out it comes.
Nothing so far though 😀
Nice idea for topic(s), Erik! :king:

My oldest trachy, planted July 2008.
Hand on frond.
Trachy I planted June, 2010. Finally starting to grow. One year to root in.
Waggie I received in 2009.
Another waggie that I received in 2010.
Siam ruby in its second summer. It overwintered in a west window all winter.

Love the Waggie!
I poured myself a glass of red wine (NASCARbernet from the box, Mike) and am sharing my big one:

Looks good Erik. It endured a cold winter and a hot summer. It's a keeper.

Thanks. It is from Junglemusic in San Diego and that may be why it puts up with sun and heat better than my other Waggie, from Cistus in Oregon.
Both had heat tape (+ water jugs, hay, plastic teepee) for February.
I plan to dig them up and pot them for my move to the city so they'll live in pots for a while. 😥
Love the Waggie!

She's Dutch -- of course she likes windmill palms. 😆
I don't think she was talking about seeing windmill palms 😳
Tim, nice job.
You're right, it takes a year or sometimes longer for them to root in.
It'll take off now.
Love the colour.
And your oldest trachy is gorgeous! It'll move the foundation soon 😆 😆
