Well it gets better.
I have done Robusta seeds and I have the seedlings started, the Filifera seeds looked NOTHIGN like the Robusta.
But now in my baggies, I have a bunch of stems that are thin as a hair, and have two yellow tiny leaves on them. Also, as I pull back to seed the seed that it grew from, it is GONE. Just this hair thin thing growing.
Can some body tell me what the hell I have?

Well the best I could give you are flax stems. They can be as small as hair. I looked on photos about flax stems and some are as thin as hair.Flax and oat stems are pretty much the same size.Im sorry if wrong. I do want to help you. Kansas you could show us a photo 🙂 But they could be flax stems.Flax has little fibres too.

Kansas your W.robusta should look almost exactly the same as W. filifera. The only way to tell one from another is when they get older, and even then the differences will be minimal until they are 6 months to a year old. Did you leave these seeds in the bag longer than the others? If so that would explain the yellow tops. A picture would be a great help to find what the Palm? strain is.

That almost sound like you are growing a yucca or a dasylirion wheeleri. Did you get the seed mixxed up?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Matter of fact, NOTHING i got from this guy is growing 👿

W.filifera on the left & S.palmetto on the right

Sounds like the person you got these from may have just been unaware of what they were harvesting, ( I've always had the best luck aquiring seeds with the fruit still on) I tried some grass tree seeds last year and had no luck, I guess these have very specific germination requirements.
