All my sabal minor seeds always grow mold. What do I need to do? Can I wash off with bleach & water?
I read somewhere that you can wash them in 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, but I am uncertain if that can be done after the seed has been sown. I am having the same problem with my T. Fortunei seeds. They are not looking to good. I have treated them several times with fungucide, but it does not seem to work to well. I figure I will let nature take it's course. Good luck!

Actually, I tried to wash them with the bleach method, but again, I have mold!!! DAMMIT.
You know for my Fortunei seeds, just my opinion, but they say that you shuld only squeeze enogh water out of two drops. For me PERSONALLY, I found that if it is actually wetter than that, maybe squeeze 4-5 drops out, then sow the seeds in plastic bags and not a mold on a one. You might try wetting them more maybe.
I think that I may have been a little bit too exited when I sowed the seeds and gave them too much water. It was DEFINITELY more then 2 drops. I also used peat moss rather than sphagnum. I have 5 batches going to experiment with. 1 batch of 74 seeds was soaked (24H) a put in peat seeds flats. 1 batch of 74 was not soaked and put in peat seed flats. 1 batch of 30 was soaked (24H) put in peat in a platic bag with peat. 1 batch of 30 was not soaked and put in plastic bag with peat. The last batch of 50 was soaked (24H) and put in a plastic bag with sphagnum moss. I really do not have the room to take care of all of them so it may be a blessing that some are mouldy.

Yep, I tried to put them in flats at first too and got nothing but mold mold mold..
I re cleaned them, and put them into zip lock baggies with 10 in each and sucked the air out of them. DO NOT PUT ON HEAT!!!! just set them in a dark spot and forget about them for three weeks. The water, depending on how much more than two drops, like I said, I actually think with Trachy seeds 4-6 drops is fine.
But do that and you will have at LEAST spots on the seeds in 3 weeks where they are starting, GUARANTEE!
