Can't remember WHICH Sabal this is (label faded) but its time it went in the ground.
Really potbound:

and the Euro...the only thing wrong with growing them in 14 inch Tree Pots is you've gotta dig a 14 inch hole
😆

Wow Barb, looks great. With a root system like that, the deeper the better. Those will thrive for sure. Just don't change your mind to transplant! lol 😛
Great workout eh?

Looking good Barb. I can confirm its Sabal Something 😆 What plans have you got for protecting them when Jack returns later in the year?

Thanks folks...if only I could plant the 30 or 40 other tree potted seedlings that are also potbound. 🙄

Sabal Something 😆 😆
good one.

Jack's not coming back! Yeah right.
I have no bloody idea what to do then.
I'll play Scarlett OHara and say "I'll think about it another time, not right now". 😉

Those will thrive for sure. Just don't change your mind to transplant!

I'm pooped.

Erik, 30 feet away, other side of that little pond.
I'll hunt in my photo files to see what kind of Sabal it is.

Tavi, Chamaerops tag says 2010 germination, probably in the 14-inch tree pots within a year of that.

Phoenix though are the all-time winners for root size/length/filling the pot.
I've had 6 month old Phoenix, germinated in styro coffee cups, whose roots when unravelled were over a foot long.
