So good I'll be embarrassed to finally post my Spring photos 😳
Crape myrtles: fantastic. All three of mine are coming back from above-ground wood but are behind yours.
Pindo palms: look great. Mine are alive but not growing yet.
Trachy: should be perfect for you; mine is coming back strong.
Bamboo: Paul knows his stuff. Mine may be dead. 😥 I'll seek his advice before choosing another.
Keep us updated with photos (or another neat YouTube video) as the Summer goes on.

Just curious, do any of y'all use anti-transpirants such as Wilt-Pruf on your plants going into winter. If so, any positive results?

Very nicely done! Your yard is looking great along with all your palms, looks like your palm hut did a excellent job. That washy is going to go nuts once our regular lows are in the 50-60f range. Great new additions to your garden those palms will be fun to watch grow. I can't wait to see your 35 gallon trachy when you get it. Nice bamboo from Paul too, that was nice of him. He really has figured them out in his location.

I have tried it and didn't see much of any good from it.
It may be that I need to wait for the plant to shed water and try it later.

I have also tried Freeze pruf-I wonder if it didn't damage the leaves more than the cold did?

Need to try it some more,not really sure what to make of it or if the company is even making it right.
I feel like the plants know what to do better 😕

Thanks for all the complements! The good work should go to all of you for inspiring these ideas! As for the Wilt Pruf. I do spray all my BLE's a few times before the winter arrives. It really helped with my Rhodos!

I bet the use of wilt-proof or other similar products would really benefit you much more then it would most of us since we tend to protect the majority of our palms from the harsh weather. Being in SC Keeping the plant protected with one of those products when the North jet stream dips down would really do wonders since your duration of cold is most of the time short lived, followed by much warmer temps. I bet my unprotected Lil Gems would have had zero damage as opposed to the very little they received, 10%. Not bad for first year tree's from Florida.

I will use it next year. I had some wilt-proof to I just never used it ❓ ➡ 🙄

Just bought some Wilt-Pruf the other day to use on transplants (hot weather protection). Most of my winter damage during "bad" winters is to spears of potted palms. Will try it this winter just on growing points and see if it helps.

You just need to look for Brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii and hybrids involving that plant! Perhaps if you check out Rhodoland they'd have one?

Also- I would never say that I am 'good' at growing bamboo- Scotty can tell you how ragged most of them look this spring!
