Spent 9 hours yesterday transplanting a 20'ft Trachycarpus. We dug it out beside the Vesuvius Pub where it grew for 21 years and transplanted it to my friend's garden. We also transplanted two huge clumps of Pampass, Phormiums and Yuccas. All the plants plus more palms will be transplanted back to the pub when all the renovations are complete. The palm has 15'ft of trunk and weighed approx. 2,000 lbs. It was a very big job and the cool north westerly winds were blowing off the ocean made it feel even cooler. I have some pics. I'll send ya Jay. You can post if you like. We took tons of pics. from start to finish. Joe

Can't wait for the pics Joe.
BTW, yesterday I had the day off, so took on a project. Remember I told you when I bought the Fortunei seeds from you I put them in flats. But wasn't seeing much response, so I thought I would try what everybody else had done and use the zip lock bag method.
So I dug up all the seeds and found about 10-12 did have a tiny spout just starting to come out. So now that they are in zip lock bags, I hope they start coming fast -N- furious.
Will let you know buddy.

Happy to hear you are using the baggy method. If you want quick results that seesm to work best at this time of the year. Keep me updated on their progress. Cheers, Joe
