Juice that bad boy as soon as possible, unlike other palms trachys love cool rainy weather. It's in the process of brewing up a explosion of new leaves right now 😀 😀 😀

Glad to here your weather is about to improve to, you have the same thing going on as we did last year in the NE. Everything worked out ok though, but I know you just want it to be warm after winter is over.

That's what ratchet straps are for Barb. Trust me I pull mine in tight, as you will have to do this winter.

I didn't tie up the fronds in the palm hut last winter.
Probably a good idea if fronds are touching the cold exterior walls.

But is it a necessity to tie them if they're not touching?

tighter the palm hut the better. Easier to heat! You'll see this year when that bad boy unleashes!

Once that beauty starts spreading its roots away from that 25 year old root ball it's going to explode with some serious growth. You should be getting to that point right about now 😀 😀 😀 Very nice looking palm!!! With the way you protect your palm you'll be able to save the leaves year after year too, turning it into a giant. Good thing you built a big hut 😉
