Hey everyone,It's been far too long since the last pictures that I put up on the board, so I plan on putting them all up at once from about a month or so back to now.Well it's looking like I'm back to my crazy self buying more palms to supply the people of the NE and beyond. This load is putting a lot of stock into the idea that people in the NE can enjoy beautiful palms trees without a ton of effort. I hope my vision of the fairly easy maintainable tropical garden catches on and I can help make people achieve this.Just a little fun fact, this material was unloaded with no machines and solely by me and a few cans of energy drinks. The 20 big ones weighed 500-600+ a piece :shock: Once they where on the ground a dolly was used thankfully, some of you might remember the picture of me pulling the washy across my yard with a rope :lol: Anyways enough yappin, here's the pictures of the new guys! There wasn't much room to get good pictures and most of the fronds are still tied, plus it was a crappy day to boot. I'll get better pictures in a few weeks once the other plants go into the grow room. They're still nice to look at :D Looking into my driveway where the 20 B&B trachies are. All the 15 gallons palms in the front are waggies, plus 7 of the big ones. The forth picture is a bad pic of a few untied waggies.This is one of the four biggest ones I kept aside to show people. I'm 6'4" for scale.Just to give a lay of the land this next picture is taken from about 30 feet behind the palms looking at the back right corner of my property. The poor basjoos got knocked down to about 14-15 feet three weeks ago from about 19'. Damn wind :evil: I'll post pictures later from when they looked good.This is the back right corner with pictures before and after of the 30 gallon needles before they were unwrapped, notice the 30 gallon minors to the back left, there's actually 4 of them.This picture is looking the other way. Believe it or not there are all these trachys here! 26 15-gallons, 11 Huge 30 gallons, 5 left over 7 gallons, and 35 nice 3 gallons. Last but not least a lousy picture of the front of the house. Everything looking good! The amount of trachies create almost jungleish atmosphere.
Do I see correct you have some sort strelitzias there? How sensitive are the plants roots for planting out in spring and digging out in the fall? Or are these kept only in pots?

Hope you got your g-house Bill and are putting it up now.

They are taliking about the possibility of late November like temps here by the end of next week. 👿

Yeah, those are orange birds, they stay in the pots. The roots get really big and they try growing into the ground anyways. If they get repotted they will most likely get birds next summer.

I got the greenhouse but I've been super sick the last few days. Great timing!

Bill, get your butt outside buddy! I thought your greenhouse would be up already! I was just outside to protect my Yucca blooms from freezes but it's still breezy outside so I didn't protect them. The breeze my be our saving grace tonight.

A reprieve?

Pretty amazing how fast the forecast just changed from mid 20s(F)lows and highs in the 40s
back to 50s and 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s!

Even those crazy ****'s at unaccuweather that had 42(F) and "ice in the morning" 15 days!,out,
-now is that just arrogance or are they just major geeks!-
😉

have changed back to the above forecast.

If you can believe any of the forecast's,there is no killing freeze until somewhere in November,
the bananas and what not will keep going 8)
