Hey everyone,It's been far too long since the last pictures that I put up on the board, so I plan on putting them all up at once from about a month or so back to now.Well it's looking like I'm back to my crazy self buying more palms to supply the people of the NE and beyond. This load is putting a lot of stock into the idea that people in the NE can enjoy beautiful palms trees without a ton of effort. I hope my vision of the fairly easy maintainable tropical garden catches on and I can help make people achieve this.Just a little fun fact, this material was unloaded with no machines and solely by me and a few cans of energy drinks. The 20 big ones weighed 500-600+ a piece :shock: Once they where on the ground a dolly was used thankfully, some of you might remember the picture of me pulling the washy across my yard with a rope :lol: Anyways enough yappin, here's the pictures of the new guys! There wasn't much room to get good pictures and most of the fronds are still tied, plus it was a crappy day to boot. I'll get better pictures in a few weeks once the other plants go into the grow room. They're still nice to look at :D Looking into my driveway where the 20 B&B trachies are. All the 15 gallons palms in the front are waggies, plus 7 of the big ones. The forth picture is a bad pic of a few untied waggies.This is one of the four biggest ones I kept aside to show people. I'm 6'4" for scale.Just to give a lay of the land this next picture is taken from about 30 feet behind the palms looking at the back right corner of my property. The poor basjoos got knocked down to about 14-15 feet three weeks ago from about 19'. Damn wind :evil: I'll post pictures later from when they looked good.This is the back right corner with pictures before and after of the 30 gallon needles before they were unwrapped, notice the 30 gallon minors to the back left, there's actually 4 of them.This picture is looking the other way. Believe it or not there are all these trachys here! 26 15-gallons, 11 Huge 30 gallons, 5 left over 7 gallons, and 35 nice 3 gallons. Last but not least a lousy picture of the front of the house. Will do Barb. I had a hard time getting pictures of the stuff that was here because of the other stuff in the way. As soon as the nanas and tropicals go into the grow room I'll be able to get some better shots. I freed that blue waggie today, I think I might keep that one 😉

That blue waggie caught my eye immediately, very special.

It must've been wonderful to watch all those fronds unfurl when you cut the ropes.

You don't need to post actual numbers, but in general how were sales this year? I have been impressed by your "energy" to say the least. It is obvious you don't do things half-way!

Will do Bill. As for the Aucubas, I see them a lot here too southeast of Philly in my neck of the woods....A lot of people have them in their gardens and they seem to thrive. I always thought they were neat looking. I never knew what they were just always thought they were native plants....LOL

PS My bananas are still getting way big and pumping out leaves even though there is less sunlight now. We have decided to use them a s a backdrop for a haunted Tiki Halloween display in the back of the back yard for our Annual Halloween bash on the 30th. They set a nice tone.......here's a pic from yesterday

This year was good, I was pretty much easing into things this year. My plans for this spring are to be much more serious.

Good deal Mike. Your nanas look great, you must have a really sheltered spot for them as the leaves still look near perfect. Jim's right you think they grew this year wait until next year! They hit 19" here before being broken up badly by the wind, and this is their second year, and your much warmer then me 😀

Nice haul Bill !! Too bad it all wasnt for the yard ( some will inevitable stay i bet, like the blue waggie). I think i might have to follow suit, and supply canada with some things other then fortunai and basjoo LOL

Blue waggie and I have already had a nice talk as do all my plants. It's a keeper 😆 That one will pollinate what ever other waggie looks good in a few year to make a beautiful palm strain. Maybe there is so way to get you some nice plants Jesse? It might be expensive, but maybe not? We can explore some options if you want for a spring delivery.

I agree. Is there any palm that brings out so many, "aw, isn't it cute?" responses as Waggie? It is one of the few palms I can think of that everyone loves. Plus it is nice to make folks in the tropics jealous that they are hard for them to grow! 😆

Yeah, that waggie is really blue, in fifteen years who knows maybe I can cross it with one if the princeps. That would be a pretty palm combo.

I remember that frosty waggie well Jim, that is so cool.

Mike, it was great talking with you the other day, it will be nice to meet you this spring.
