A couple of my Robustas seedling s that up to now have done great seem to be drying up and curling. WHat causes this??
I have had them inside since start of November and been fine. They are under a Plant light and have a humidifier in the room which does not blow on the trees so its not spear rot (I did try to pull the spears and nothing). What can I do?

I have the same problem every year when I bring in the plants or put them out. Some things will get a big burst and then die or leaves will wilt or thing that were not doing good outside start doing better or just the opposite 😕

What I find is if you bring plants in too late then the difference between humid cool wet conditions and warm dry conditions does that to plants. I have started bringing plants in much earlier before the temps fall below 10C or 50F and I do not have this problem anymore.

Wes is right. It may be best if you have a cool location (unheated/cool garage - cold frame - lighted crawl space etc.) that you can move the seedlings into. This will allow the plants to stay dormant without shocking them. Move 'em on out come spring and watch 'em grow.

Yea, I moved them inside in November to a spot in the un finihed part of my basement, have grow lights on them, a humidifier and a fan going. Temps are probably around 67-68.
I am wondering if the humidifier is placed too close as the one Robusta spear pulled yesterday. I have not ran it since and IF I do, I will point it away from all trees and just let it fall on the concrete below.
Would this be correct in thinking thats what is causing it??
