Great work, Serj! So many cordylines get thrown away here as "annuals".

This winter was the one of the coldest winter during last 50 years. I'm not sure if my USDA-zone is still 6a. We have had 25 days with subzero temps by Celsius. It was -30 C once. 😯 But my palms shelter was a good protection for my plants. The styrofoam of 9 cm is a good insulator. Inside of my shelter was -8 C as a minimal temperature for 25 day. Here is pic of my plants that was taken 3 day ago.

My citrus yuzu (junos) survived too. 😕

Spectacular results Serj, not a mark on any plant in there.
No fungus either.

The Cordyline continues to grow 😀
You'll have to build very big boxes soon.

serj, I was wondering how your plants would do with the extreme cold! It's great to see that they've survived!

Nice...love the red stars, they grow very quickly too! I have some of them, Do you ever get yellow pigmentation on them? It looks like spotted leaopard leaves when the sun shines through: trippy!!!

Mike,
I'm grateful to you for convincing me they weren't annuals 😆 😆

Jesse,

IT was in the porch. IT stays at least 10C warmer then outside. The thing is still red in some parts.

They are so cool aren't they Barb. Funny that this year with our mild winter, people who neglected to get rid of them in Fall, still have them growing in the ground and they have gotten bigger and bigger...Can't wait to see how they look in a month or so. It has been a wacky winter this year....

Since December w have only had 25 nights below freezing and most of those hovered around 29 to 31 F , just a few in the teens....I can deal with this. So excited for Spring though. I'm sure all of you feel the same way.
