😆
I felt very happy that I planted these and protected these so far from home and they made it through the winter with no damage
Cheers

Excellent, Mike.
You stated the banana had a 23w fluorescent bulb.
So the Trachy palms just had your boxes, and no heat? :confused2:

Mike it`s a good feeling when the protection comes off and everything looks like your video. I`m surprised that Basjoo made it through with so little heat. How much of that mulch was piled up around the stem? Thanks for the update.

thanks for watching

Hey guys,
I was unable to protect again musa basjoo and sikkemensis, here in zone 5a,Mirabel. With, i think the same protection than Mike did. I tried few different method with no success for the 4th years in a row. Musa still mushy even with fungicide/bactericide spray. I covered it with arbotex, straws and tarp. I have a little hope regarding my 3 years old musa basjoo ( i kept this musa indoor in the past 3 winter ), the base of the pseudosterm still ferm. So ill see. I will not have other choise to put some heat inside the box for protecting basjoo here.
Ben
Don't give up Beny and don't remove your basjoo. Sometimes they can poke up through the mushy part wait until early May before you remove it might surprise you. You seem to be doing everything right. Be sure you rake up the hay. If you don't remove it you'll have alot of weeds.

Ok, thx Mike...will see later on.
