Yes i can see you have many different Sabals, how does Cape hateras submits the winters? How long are the periods of cold days -C there, i mean do you have cold winters with -10C -15C lasting 20 days?

how does Cape hateras submits the winters? No clue first year testing them.
How long are the periods of cold days -C there: This varys so much its crazy.
Our Most minment is -23.3C but normally its around -7. The pass 5 years I seen down to -15C.

Thanks IPN, i asked because its almost unbelievable your palms can overwinter without defoliation, if the temp. below zero last 20 days i would suggest good protection for that one..

you have nice palm collection. About climate in Plainfield IN, sounds that you live in little bit warmer zone then you represented in your profile. In inland south east Europe we have regulary,every winter prolonged cold spells between January and February with many days below zero.

Since, you said that I wounder the same thing am Just going by what the 2012 USDA Plant Hardiness Zone saids. But do to Poles Changes we could be wamer.
