Hello all,
First of all, thanks for any and all replies!
I decided to start some Date Palm seeds in a small container with Perlite, and a desk lamp for heat. Well, during this time I found some really old, moldy, disgusting seeds I collected years ago. To my amazement, a few of these old seeds actually sank to the bottom of water.
So, I cleaned them off, soaked them, and decided to throw them into the container with the Date Palm seeds. 😕 Which was really dumb, because now my Date Palm seeds have rooted, and the old seeds are all moldy.
Will the Date Palm seeds now get moldy? Did I ruin the Date seeds???? Or should I just plant them anyways...?
Again, Date Palm seeds are not moldy, but in the same container as moldy seeds.
Oops! Wrong section. Sorry about that.
I read somewhere I could spray a weak bleach solution on the seeds...maybe I'll have to try that.
Hi. I have used 3% hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. It works great to get rid of mold.
