Hi all - my hubby has saved 2 garbage bags full of maple wood shavings for me to put around the palms and bananas this winter. they aren't in chunks so I'm wondering if the finer shavings would just be a potential cause for rot in the future? Would like to know what anyone thinks of this? Thanks in advance my friends! 😀

Heidi,
sounds good to me.
Of course, that might just be because it is a lot better than the what I mulch with....
