It would never make it past the Canadian border constabulary (Canadian Food Inspection Agency...*drumroll*).

They'll toss out anything without a Phytosanitary Certificate.
costs a bucket load of money
(bin der, dun dat...twice).

And I live too far from the border to hide by their garbage bin for 2 or 3 days 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Nope, but everything is scanned/x-ray'd.
And naturally it has to be "correctly" listed on the outside what it is, and value, etc.

Nobody wants to mess with those guys, believe me.

It's chiefly soil organisms they're concerned about 'coz we do have some of that here, mostly rocks though. 😆
