It has been 70's for high and low 50's for lows. We got a darn good lil soaking rain this morning.
I decided I needed to start thinking of bringing my pot planted palms in so I went out & inspected. WOW, if these mild temps and good soaking rains do this, I may not bring them in until early November.
I have a baby leaf starting on all these...
Sabal Minor (From Desert Zone)
Both Takils
Both Phoenix Roebies
Hystrix
Both little Fortuneis (these trees hate the sun & love cool rain & shade don't they)
Both Rostratas
Yellow Grove Bamboo
And the biggest find of all, I have a new flush starting right now on a Sego in Zone 5!!! Hopefully with the dark skies recently, the leaves will be HUGE to seek out the sun. Has anybody in Zone 5 had a flush this late in the year from a Sego?
Actually, I may have to take a pic of the Sego and let Steve (KNNN) look at it. It doesn't have the round trunk, but rather a Caudex (or whatever they are) that is a long oval about a foot high. But The Wal Mart had it labeled as a King.
