Hey, Don. Ya know, I found something like that in Wichita one time, oh wait........that was your place 😆 Seriously, very cool article. I'm gonna try and swing by sometime soon. I'll get ahold of you before I do. Take care.

Patrick

Happy growing.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

One day years in the future, people will come to Kansas and just find that jungle if all our palms in the ground stay alive.
As more hardy varieties of palms and yuccas discovered or hybridized this may just happen.
I keep looking for more hardy looking tropicals to add to my yard, cast iron plant has surprised me,didn't grow much all summer, come fall it started putting on new leaves.
If you haven't added hardy bamboo, you should really look into it now, heck anything that stays green thru the winter is a plus!

I am into bamboo, just don't know what to plant around here. Any suggestions? What works well for you?

I bought a cast iron plant earlier this year, got it home, discovered it had some kind of funky goo on it (looked like a powdery with fungus) so I took it back to KMart and they had none left.
