I have decided to make a winter hut somthing like jim hardys this summer and try a desert garden here in 6B and see how it goes. with the right species and a semi greenhouse cover it shouldn't be a problem for rostrata and a few agave and cacti

both of my Y. rostratas were protected against snow
Agree that your temps wouldn't kill a rostrata, Tim.
Moisture is the enemy for sure.

very true Jim, once we hit March I just about can't stand it anymore.
Am Really Half Temped of Releasing my Needle Palm out. So I can have something to look at outdoors.
Nobody panics when people plant normal trees because its part of the plan... if someone plants a Palm EVERYONE LOSES THERE MINDS!
