Very nice yuccas, and palms. 8)

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

The Washy, monkey puzzle look fabulous, as do all the yuccas.
Wollemi and Nainital are totally untouched by winter in the GH.
Those 2 good Eucs look like they're pushing leaves already.

Quite the non-winter for you. Hope you have more S.minors, maybe keep one in a pot until it's larger and try again?

Thanks for the tour, Tim

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Looking good, and thanks for the extra effort a video takes to produce.

Thanks everyone. Yes we are having a warm winter. I have other minors in pots from 2001 and still small. I need to get them in bigger containers. And yes Aaron the ground here has little to no frost and the pool ice is less than 2" thick. Crazy for this time of year

I hope the Monkey Puzzle takes off this year with additional growth. It is such a SLOW grower.

Looks like it at a size now where it might and this mild winter will help.

On a similar note,my Sequoia looks good (for winter),the foliage has it's
typical winter coloration but there is no tip kill. 🙂

Hi Jim,

glad your Sequoiadendron is in great shape. It will likely grow 3 feet this season for you......and with it getting more established it might get hardier too. The growth rate of the one I had in Rhode Island was this:

Year Height
April 1997: 6"
April 1998: 7"
April 1999: 1'-8"
April 2000: 3'-4"
April 2001: 5'-9"
Sept 2001: 9'-4"
Sept 2002: 13'

I moved from this house in 2003 and the new owner cut it down in 2004. There's one growing in Glocester, RI a zone 6a location. It's gotta be at least 20 or 25 ft tall.

Looks good. Amazing results on the washy. How is the Edith Bogue holding up?
