I just received my cold hardy palm book from Mike Papay of North Carolina. This is a most informative ,descriptive well put together book. The book covers cold hardy palms from a to z loads of pictures. Everything you wanted to know is in the book, and FREE. I will send it out to anyone that asks for it. E mail format 14 mb microsoft word windows xp. This is a very large file so it would be best if you were on cable or dsl modem. You also may share this with anyone as long as you give credit to Mike Papay. Send me a pm with your email and I will send the book out to you.

I just wanted to know what zones is it for? Im thinking about getting needle palms and this book should help.

This is a great book, It has a large amount of palm info for many species.

Knnn you have a great set up there. How long have you been growing palms ect? What is your zone and location? Thanks for posting on your web site "Why not palms?" I think everybody will get something out of this book.

I'm in 5B/6A in Central Kansas, Been involved with Palms & Cycads for about 2 years now
and my "Nursery"can best be described as a backyard operation. 8)
I usually just trade and give away my excess inventory, Some has been offered via online
auctions in the past but the risk does not seem worth the effort these days.
/ Anyone who is passing thru Kansas on I70 and wants some Adonidia & Heterospathe for
their collections Just let me know!/
Otherwise , Conservation and usefull information are my goals. Most people's first and last
experience with Palms is a Majesty, which slowly yellows and dies. It's nice these are
plentifull and cheap, but stuff like this does more more harm than good.
hmmm....Maybe a Majesty exchange program? 😆 😆
Cold Hardy Palms/ Why not Palms? does a great job of presenting species adaptable to harsher climates, ( I
am trying some Sabals here myself....with protection) A lot of people have generously
forwarded this by e-mail and hopefully it will be posted in more locations.
