More than 50 mm of is causing some flooding and we had 75+ mm of rain. river Ice is almost gone and the yuccas and agaves will die and jims needle palm. My agave needs very dry weather. 1971 I saw a tornado here That took down somebodys trachycarpus a big great trunked one that survived 14 years in the winter protected. I might lose everything. On friday we are having winds 50 to 70 mph. Just makes it worse.Sorry about this topic.[/url]

Donny, I hope every thing you have makes it. I hope the flooding stops and the soil dries out for you.
Best of Luck to you and your agave!

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I do too. The soil I not very hard now and its getting very muddy My agave is alright but If it does not stop I could lose it. Im fighting for plants. I saw 2 lighting strikes. Big storm from the south is causing major problems here. In tennesse they issued tornado warnings We have 20% of a tornado happing here. 1976 Last storm we had was so huge we lost power for 3 weeks in 1976
with winds 200 mph gusts 218 mph. And lightning strikes per second and flooding a metre and a half high. The worst storm in history. They are calling for cooler temps like -1C but its going to rise 18C after that with thunderstorms. We have a bad climate for growing hardy subtropicals 🙁

yea I been very mad at march weather and last april we had snow. Date palms never get green again in march. Got to wait until first of May. They are not green in the winter but they recover. We not cold enouth to make it lose its brown leaves.I know somebody had grown them here.
