So far we had a very mild winter and practically no snow. For a few days only, a taste of winter, just in time for NBA all star game 🙂

HIt -24C down here by High Park... Hope it wasn't that must worse north of the lake!
My new property hit -28C and will probably hit -29C tonight. Still a mild winter overall, too bad this cold spell has kept us true to zone.
Paul, Up here the temps have not gone below -27C! This winter is a strange one. Weeks of above normal temps then a week and a bit of cold then back to weeks at or above average. Night temps have not dipped to below average very much at all. The trees started to bud in november (Balsam poplar, maples etc). It wasnt until mid january that we had any real cold, and that was only below average day time temps. My little Fargesia nitida should do well.

Jesse- It hit -30C at my garden again this winter. Great. Should be OK though sine there was some snow and it was a short lived freeze. Not like that never ending one we had last winter!
I have the arduous task of moving many of my plants from the current garden to the new property this coming spring/summer/fall... It's not all bad though, wayyy more acerage (50x more) and only 1/2 zone colder (from 4b/5a to 4a/4b) hurray! 🙄
