Hey Guys,
Here's the pictures of my out front washy that was 100% frond defoliated from my Feb-March post. It pumped out 4 huge beautiful none
damaged fronds and two somewhat burnt ones that where in the crown. The spear is really thick too, about ready to open a new frond.
The back ones are killing it too, I just haven't had time to take pictures. Soon to come along with others.

Overview of the front as of today. Crepe Myrtle on left.

Largest trachy and up close picture of the male flower, second year.

Lil Gem S. Mag defeated all odds and looks great. It's pumping out the flower buds too.

Sorry for the small post but I'm really tired.

Thanks for looking,
Bill

Wow Bill!! I've been waiting for those pics! The washies look great! It was a good idea to keep them enclosed and pum the heat. When it does finally start to warm, watch those things take off! Trachy's look huge!! Talk to you on the weekend!

Super to see everything out in the open, your Trachys look great too!
Probably better then most well south of you 😀

Good to see those Washys no worse for ware, they really are quite cold hardy at that size!

I am looking forward to seeing how everybodies Washys do this summer.

Nice work Bill-

That Mag looks sweet too.

Yes indeed, Bill, they look great.
Trachys look much better than mine even though I am well south of you!
Your Washy almost makes me want to try another in the ground. Almost. Maybe next year. 😀
I know you're real busy, but in a week or so if things settle down for you we'd like to see the rest of your garden and those bananas.

Thanks you all very much!

It was well worth building the ugly green house over the washy, now I don't have to wait til July for the same results.
I'm sure it will restore a full crown to gain a good amount of storage sugar for this winter too.

Hopefully there will be enough time this weekend for me to dress the front up with some color and some of my new bad boys from Florida.
I think I'll have to make time 😆

Pictures to come soon of all the Florida plants and the back yard area.

The large Trachy is one of the best I have seen in North America. hell, anywhere. How long ago did you plant it? Outstanding.
