These are the Washys I got from B.C a few weeks ago. The old fronds are dying which I know is normal but the new ones are not moving. Also, the new ones are going yellow kinda. Maybe I am just being paranoid.

I had the same thing happen to one i bought on ebay a couple of years ago. It now looks nice and green and growing fast. I wouldn't worry I'm sure they will pull out of it for you. 🙂

Regards,
Jay

What kind of soil are you using? The roots will rot if the soil remains to wet.

I am using top of the line tropical potting soil that holds the water and releases is as the plant needs it. I researched that when I got it. I know these were dug up right out of cold winter storage in B.C. Then they were boxed up and flown to Ontario overnight. Poor things, I don't mind nursing them, I just hope they survive cause they were not cheap...really not cheap.
I am sure they will look nicer by September.

Arctic

Looks to me like they are going through transplant shock. I would cut off all the fronds except the newest one and give it a deep watering once every two weeks until it starts to put out new growth. I am not an expert, but this worked on a 3 gallon robusta of mine. After a month it is starting to take off again. As long as they are not over watered they are tough buggers.

Not the pot I was expecting........
