<a href=" " target="_blank"><img src=" " border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

About a foot and a half-I like plants that seem to have already formed and just need to expand (-:

Jim - I dont think I asked how big the corm was when you planted it. It should double in size this year, and pop out a bunch of tiny cornletts that will be new plants. It shoudl flower when its the size of a large grape fruit/pommello.

Paul - I think zone 6, most likely 7. Needs exceptional drainage, semi shade all day. Other wise lift and store like Canna/Dahlia etc

EDIT

That Zingzibar Miooga is looking damn fine!

I think they bloom in spring(when big enough)...this is the part that makes it all possible.

So cool to see a plant extend out like a antenna and already be formed!

Here it is this morning-I think it grew(at least) 6" over night.

I loved the way they looked when theyre sprouting. THe leaves look sortve like tree peony leaves, just in a radial pattern. Whats the hight on the leafstalk?

IGnore the previous post in your other thread LOL

Those are a GOOD size to start with. You might get them to flower next year.

You going to try to over winter them outside?

No,I think I will dig them up-although I have 4 so I may try one
just so I don't lose them all to one method of storage....if we have
a wet fall that plan may change.

I took another picture(s) this morning-the others are coming along quickly too!
