Cold hardy palms for trenton ontario 6a & 5b

Trenton ontario has thusands of yuccas growing there but only one person I know grows a needle palm in Trenton. It is trunked very little He puts xmas lights on it and wraps it with burlap possibly some mulch It seemed to survived 3 winters he told me. but I want to try growing a Trachycarpus takil. so far we had a 6a winter. harvey owns a nursery and told me it could possibly grow if protected. heres a yucca at MC donaldmostly have the same temps as toronto.
