Nice work Jim! Lots of cool stuff in your garden. Some really amazing cactus flowers. Nice work, as always!

Kory
The Banana plants that are surprising me the most right now are the Itinerans and the Black Thai bananas.
One of the Itinerans is going nuts,I think it is putting out a leaf every 3 days now!
The Thai blacks are really bulking up too.
6"+ rain last month and almost 4" this month
(with 1-3"or more in the forecast tonight)and much more on the way later in the week
and 90s coming back by Friday,it has been topical heaven around here.
BTW
I don't know if Bill has any Black Thai bananas he wants to sell but I think you would love these 😀
Click once on the picture when it comes up!
Check it out!

Jim,
yeah, the weather has been fantastic. We had an inch this morning. Highs about 90oF, lows about 70oF, soil temps in the upper 70soF. We complain about the weather so often it is nice to give praise when it is due.
My bananas are doing OK, although new pups get knocked over by dogs and chickens which slows them down.
Can I ask how you are fertilizing them?

I used 20-20-20 earlier this spring,10-10-10 more recently and I just hit them with miracle-grow last time-
I have some 0-0-50 I would like to get on the Bananas if it ever stops raining so much.
The neat thing about the rain is,it usually hits at night and is sunny during the day. 😀
With the exception of today.....no rain yet though.

My trick with rain is to water with the hose. That seems to bring it on within 24 hours. 😀
I think I need to ship my hose to Arizona or bury it,there is rain in the forecast like every two days-
they are always saying it will be heavy too, like 2-4" -so far we have been somewhat lucky,
I didn't check to see what this mornings rain total is.
.51"

No rain today, but more tomorrow. It seems to be a delightful day on-day off thing.
I'll pick up a bag of that 0-0-50 stuff for palms and bananas. --Erik
Lovely pics! Thanks for sharing
