Hello I bought a butia in cali and brought it back. It has a purplish base and base and sides of the leaves. I just figured thats how they all looked but a friend of mines has one that has more of an all green base. Is this just normal differences? I was told its butia capitata.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
