This is my other This giant I bought this year....
I have my doubts that it is the real deal though.

Jim, that leaf is huge! What's the max size they can attain?

Wham! Huge.

I'm still waiting for my local place to put them on sale... 10 bucks seems a little steep!

Paul

They are usually not cheap anywhere you look.

They do need some heat to grow fast...at least warm nights help.

Cameron

The biggest leaves I have seen are probably around 7'
a leaf that big needs some help as one in the open would get
seriously beat up.

Heres a nice one for ya- 😉

Jim

That thing will get huge by the end of the summer, you wait. I was worried that mine wouldnt get any real size this summer, if I let them go dormant. So I kept em alive all winter , and am just now seeing noticeable growth and speed on my C esculenta. (note: Alocasia Odora didnt grow too much over winter, but handled the conditions way better then the colocasia)

Your temps have been in the 80s for a bit now, hopefully they stay there. ITs been 26- 29C here for a week straight...

I hope yours gets the size of the one you posted eventualy. Think, you can make yourself look like a midget with a few props and that plant...

Yea,one prop-the Thai giant.

It already dwarfs that 5g bucket, looks more
like a 1 gallon bucket next to that leaf.

We have had several nights of around 80(f),that
really speeds things up!

88/65 is avg here this time of year
