Based on my lack of success with several types of Sabals, I'm convinced they should never be grown in pots.
And your in-ground Sabals seem to be proof.

Thanks Barb, I really have no luck with sabals in pots either. And since I stuck all my seedlings in the ground they have taken off nicely.
Love their long leaves.
Yours are beautiful.
Like most plants, they can only stay in pots for so long and then they lose vigor.
