Arenga engleri (Dwarf Sugar Palm) ?

Has anyone tried this palm in the ground ? Common name is Dwarf Sugar Palm.

I've heard of a few over in England and reports are that they're not really too hardy. Maybe old specimen could be, but I personally have never tried one.

Laaz...Arenga engleri are an awesome looking palm. In your region, I'd try it in a heart beat, even if some protection was needed during a cold snap or two. I think they'd be great in an alcove or protected entryway! We just had a week of cold weather and that would do in one of these Dwarf Sugar palms I believe.
I'll be on the look out at the mailbox. I'll have a return sampler for you, as a thank you gesture.
