So in countries where bananas are produced, the humidity likely dispels some of the heat...
either that or they never get to 106F 😕 Barb

There are huge banana crop fields along the Dead Sea shore in Jordan. There was 43 C last May when I were there. Just imagine what a temperature is in July-August there!

Yea,the Washys,Chammys,Bizzy's are very happy.
I think though, that the cactus could use a drink!
The temps in the Cactus area have hit 118F because of
the sand and rock there, good way of showing how topography
makes a difference in the heat!
Not to mention(although I will 🙂 )how a dry surface helps the
temps over it warm.
This is why 100 was about as warm as you will see with 80F
dewpoints...just to much water to heat in the air.
I was surprised to see when we did hit 106F that the dewpoint
had dropped to 65F,it seems some of the core of the heat was
pinned/pulled up against and approaching cold front......
not much of one though, still 95 the next day.
