Here are my four wollemi pines starting to break out from the polar caps. No cones this year maybe next time.

Great pics.

My wollemia nobilis isn't doing anything yet.
It's probably just glad to be out of the long winter in the house...

The polar caps protecting the new buds are such a neat phenomenon.
Looks like wax.

They have progressed along nicely. I post some updated pics later. By the way my smallest one(2.5') was in a pot last year in the shed and it survived down to -12 for a few nights, but started to droop slowly but recovered.

Bill,

my Wollemi Pine was in the Palm greenhouse in winter. A thermometer in their read +7.2F as the low but this was placed on a Sabal 'Birmingham' leaf. The Wollmi had a string of xmas lights and my seed germinating pad wrapped around the trunk. I'm not really sure what temp the Wollemi saw......the top 2" of the main bud died........this was hitting the top greenhouse film since the snow loads dropped the greenhouse film down and pushed against the Wollemi. I guess the top bud died due to cold but perhaps it had something to do with the snow load?
